I am absolutely horrible at keeping secrets, and I’ve had to keep one under wraps for a few months. Today is the day I get to shout from the rooftops to all of my fellow QuickBooks ProAdvisors these four words: QuickBooks! Online! Advanced! Certification! And guess what? You can take a LIVE training course for this certification at QuickBooks Connect, Intuit’s awesome event happening in October.
As I mentioned, I’ve been keeping this news under wraps for a while. My fellow trainers Laura Redmond & Michelle Long and I were invited to Intuit offices in Mountain View a few months back to help begin the planning of this project, and not only am I incredibly honored to have been asked, but I’m so excited about it, I can hardly wait!
This new advanced training and certification is another way for the over 100,000 global members of the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program to establish themselves as experts in QuickBooks Online. I can speak firsthand and state that joining this program 10 years ago was the catalyst that changed my life. The resources, training and certifications available are what helped me start Kildal Services LLC and they continue to help me grow my business.
In Intuit’s announcement about this certification, one of my favorite people at Inuit, Luis Sanchez (he’s the global leader of the ProAdvisor Program, and such a super nice person) states: “Creating an advanced certification for QuickBooks Online is a win-win: It makes sense for ProAdvisors and for our program. It provides ProAdvisors the opportunity to increase their expertise so they in turn can help their clients get the most out of their QuickBooks software…” I cannot agree more!
So, the COOLEST thing about the Advanced Certification? My friend, training mentor and fellow ProAdvisor, Michelle Long, will be presenting LIVE training at what I like to refer to as “Intuit’s Big October Shindig,” but is actually called QuickBooks Connect. If you haven’t heard about the event, it’s going to be the first ever of its kind, bringing together us accounting nerds, small businesses, and third party developers of QuickBooks add-ons. All under one roof – to help us connect, learn and grow our businesses. So, don’t miss out! Register for QuickBooks Connect (www.quickbooksconnect.com), Oct. 21-22 in San Jose, CA. It’s $169 for two days until August 15th and this price INCLUDES going to Michelle’s QBO Advanced Certification session! After the 15th, registration is $199 and STILL includes going to Michelle’s QBO Advanced Certification session! You couldn’t keep me away! I’ll be there and I hope to see you there, too!
(And, from what I’ve heard, there will be hammocks.)
